Hello to all you, I am a full time lurker who rarely posts, but I read along a lot with you all and I am always wishing you well.
As of this morning when I did not go into my overdraft this month I am offically kinda debt free (I am not counting student loans). Paid off my last loans and credit cards last month and worked on not going into my overdraft.
In 2003 I never saw this day coming , I had various debts totaling £22,000, no job, low income - I am now debt free, with savings!
It's all about the budget and sticking to it, I was shocked at the amount I spent on rubbish. Seriously, by cutting out the problem spending (I rarely go shopping anymore unless it's online, impulse control) I can afford the payments on a new car.
Getting a job was a major factor, but reading this board taught me how to budget, spend wisely, not to waste. thank you all!
