Credit Card - 'pin code overload

22 million debit and credit card holders had forgotten their pin .
16 million Britons said they have resorted to writing a pin number down.
2.4 million cardholders keep their pin numbers written down with their card.
Story click here.
What the article doesn't say is that if you have difficulty remembering PINs, (bearing in mind that the Card Watch advice is, don't use the same PIN for more than one card), then ask your card issuer for Chip & Signature Cards.
No more worries about being held liable for PIN misuse.
It's your choice.

I find it hard to believe that Abbey asked 22+million Britons about their PIN numbers !!
I for 1 was not asked - ??
The results are fabricated based on percentages of those asked within the survey; a figure that the report declines to give - i personally would raise concern and suggest that the **true** figures are no-where near the ones statedProud To Be Dealing With My Debts - 1420 Days To Go!LBM: £103,592.98 / Currently £78,500.08 - Down 24.22% / Mortgage: £92,800.00 / Loan: £17,284.21 / Overdraft: £450.09 / C/Card 0%(October 08): £5,601.54 / C/Card 0% (January 09): £1075.22 / Child Care: £137.80

Its no wonder CNP fraud has increased. If customers cant even remember their own PIN numbers, how are fraudsters going to compromise the PIN??:rotfl:Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts - 1420 Days To Go!LBM: £103,592.98 / Currently £78,500.08 - Down 24.22% / Mortgage: £92,800.00 / Loan: £17,284.21 / Overdraft: £450.09 / C/Card 0%(October 08): £5,601.54 / C/Card 0% (January 09): £1075.22 / Child Care: £137.80

Watched the video :rotfl:
Loved the Audio / video time delay .....
I guess you cant argue really with video evidence that Chip and PIN is infalible; however i would say that not all cases are this 'cut and dry' -
With reference that the Banks are out to limit losses from themselves - this is untrue. Shareholders own the Bank, therefor, the Bank should act in the best interest of its shareholders, not itself
Im not sure James deserves the title 'troll' .... I have seen numerous posts by James that have been informative and helpful - i would say however that i do disagree with some of the points James' raises - the beginning of the thread being one of them. I feel there is a fine line between providing helpful, informative facts/figures and scaremongering.
