Retrieve cancelled pension from Malta

As you had no intention of moving abroad I am surprised your original UK pension company allowed the transfer.

I have to take issue with this - it's not a requirement for QROPS transfers that the member lives abroad and members have a statutory right to transfer their pension out of a scheme. Trustees and administrators can do very little to block transfers, even where some kind of scam is suspected (and scams are so well hidden from transferring schemes that it's very difficult for anyone to suspect the scam in the first place - particularly when the transfer is going to a QROPS). I would not start placing blame on the transferring scheme.

OP: what QROPS is it, which companies have you dealt with during the transfer process, and how did you hear about the transfer to start with? I ask these questions so that other people can read about your experience and stop the same thing from happening to them.

Was this arranged from Goodlass Rd in Speke Liverpool by any chance? Does the QROPS firm name have something to do with the place ships park?
