Pretty much everyone - but that is the starting point - nature of income, financial liabilities, credit profile, purpose of capital raising (and more) come into play in chosing the most appropriate lender.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. 4.5x is generally the cap. But it comes down to affordability.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. The post office gave us the highest figure we could lend on a mortgage at 4.5 of our joint income. Even taking into account our existing loan and outgoings, the multiple stayed the same.
Santander will let us have 4 times our joint income after taking into account our loan, which is £290 month.
I found the likes of Yorkshire BS, Chelsea etc had the lower income multiples.0 -
