Hi Folks,
My OH has got a new car that has a crap stereo. He has the good stereo from his old car. What he lacks is the know how to remove the old stereo and replace with the good stereo.
Any ideas of places he could take it to who would replace it?
Thanks!

There's a car audio place on the Albertbridge Road, just past the filling station opposite Connswater; unfortunately I can't remember what it is called. Mightn't be cheap but ask for a quote anyway.

There is a place in Lord Street, called greenaway electrics. Its at the junction of Beersbridge/Castlereagh road junction.

I have used them before for auto electrics, and they were helpful with labour costs £35 + VAT per hour the last time I was there.

if you go to halfords (if you have one nearby) and ask them for the pins to remove the stereo they will usually let you borrow them for a couple of minutes. (saves you £5) they are really helpful if you need any specific adaptors to fit the stereo they usually have them in stock. if its only the head unit yo are fitting and not additional speakers etc its a relatively quick and simple job to do yourself. :)

Its In Car Audio on the albertbridge road.

I used to use them, but their phone line is dead now? not sure if they are there now....

I would second the halfords suggestion. Even if you buy the pins, they're only a couple of quid.

Its then a matter of using their book to see which, if any, adaptor block is needed. It then simply plugs in between the stereo and the cars wiring.
