It seems to me that it is still cheaper to go one store, buy their deals and then to morrisons and buy their deals. Or to get maximum return, buy the morrison's deal in one basket and everything not on a deal in another.
that is my understanding of ALL supermarket price matching schemes0 -

Of course it is, but many people can't go to all the other supermarkets. I can only shop in Morrisons or Tescos (of the big supermarkets inc aldi and lidl). I don't buy enough to use their match and more card, but if I did it would be rather nice for them to say "This item is cheaper at a supermarket you can't get to, so we have price matched it".0 -

This is what I do at the begining of the month I have a list of stuff I need and go first to Lidl's, then to Aldi's, then Morrisons and buy what ever is needed from the three stores. This is my 'big' shop for the month then I just buy odds and ends as required during the month, trying to adapt what I already have, and mainly its fresh fruit and veg that I get for the rest of the month. But I always check the prices of stuff instore before I go.One of the wonders of the net I can check in my own home before I go out and spend.I live alone and have pared my food budget down to £60.00 per month and usually ahve cash left over from my 'food purse' at the end of every month. This goings into my holday fund that I save for my family holiday with my DD and grandsons in August of each year.I am very concious of prices and roughly know the cost of things before I step foot over the doorstep:rotfl:
I use cash only and keep my 'food money' in a seprerate purse and once its gone its gone until the first of the next month. My freezer is full as are my cupboards and I rarely runout of things.I keep a list by my kettle in the kitchen (written on the back of old used envelopes of course
) and find that I have cut my 'impulse' buys right down, its win-win for me

It's a nonsense scheme. Absolute garbage. Hopefully they'll get rid of it or overhaul it soon.0
