I'm not sure if they are exact dupes, but have you checked out Real Techniques brushes? Available at Boots and Amazon for good prices :)

Bought is to buy. Brought is to bring.
  • Was looking at the Real Techniques brushes, but not quite sure they are what I'm after.

I do have the stippling brush and eyebrow/lash comb and I very rarely use them.
  • Check out Crown brushes and TK Maxx, they have loads of great brand brushes in atm and they are heavily discounted :)

I got my sister a set of Crown brushes for Xmas last year, while some where great others were rubbish.

For the crease and cheek brushes try Jane Iredale and for the blender The Body Shop maybe? I have Body Shop brushes that must be at least 15 years old and after a quick wash are as good as new. I have paid a lot more and got a lot less for brushes. Smashbox brushes are pretty good too but only a couple of quid cheaper than the ones you have mentioned.

@pthree Yes you're right about Body Shop brushes, I had forgotten about them yet I often recommend them, I too have had their brushes for years and they are still like new, great value when they have 40% off to :)

Zoeva brushes are inexpensive and great quality. If you buy from the German site(in English), you will get charged shipping. Beautybay in the UK sell many of their brushes and free shipping.

Their brushes get raved about on MUA etc.
  • I have emailed Crown brushes to ask if they have dupes for the brushes. It's so hard to see what brushes look like and feel like.

I haven't seen the brushes I'm wanting in the flesh, just seen them used in youtube tutorials and they seem exactly what I'm looking for, except the price. Just can't afford what these cost.

Also, like you all say, you don't necessarily have to spend a fortune to still get quality items.
