Mortgage Problems

Hi all,
Has this happened to anyone else myself and my husband have been for a mortgage with halifax had everything done ready to get a completion date when we got a call from the bank saying that they could no longer give us the full amount only half the reason was because my credit rate had gone from a to c . I think this is because i made a late payment which i have been payed now . My question is does anyone think it would be worth appealing to the under writing .Or for myself to be taken of the application and just my husband apply.
Thanks .

You know things like this really pee me off.
Banks waste billions in bankers bonus, paying fines, mis-selling PPI, and a hundred other cons they have perpetrated on the general public, but you pay your credit card two days late, and they refuse you a mortgage.
Its simply is not good enough, and there should be Government legislation banning them from using such paltry excuses to refuse a mortgage.

There's nothing to say that this was the actual reason for the decline.
Sensible lending policy will result in no fines in the future.0 -
