#750456 - 'New Causal Reasoning Tasks - About 70 Minutes, For English Native Speakers' : 245 cents on NeoBux.

'Do not attempt this task if you have earlier done 'Causal Reasoning Task' for Mike Oaksford at Birkbeck'. No idea if I have or haven't.

Not sure I can even be bothered to find out.

I wish CF would just dish stuff up that's fair game to do, rather than this endless procession of don't-dare-do-this-if-you've-already-attempted-anything-sharing-45.97%-structural-similarity-in-the-past-996-days.

I just did this one, don't remember if I've done another similar one but I don't think so. Rather long, repetitive and tedious - they would get better answers if it were shorter - it's easy enough to do and at least the rate of pay is not too bad. It didn't take anything like 70 minutes, fortunately, though at times it felt like it had gone on all morning!

It seems to me that they have the capacity to prevent people doing similar tasks through their software rather than expecting people to be able to self-police.

On another note (ha, see what I did there) I did a survey about Music and Emotions (35c on Clixsense) which didn't provide the promised code at the end. So you might want to avoid this one. I've filed a ticket but who knows if it will result in payment.
  • I'm a total mobile casino task virgin, so this is doubtless a rather dumb question... Can you complete them on an android tablet, as opposed to a smartphone?

Or do they really have to be accomplished on a weird little flashy thing that ting-a-lings occasionally?

The task instructions are confusing me slightly. Which isn't too difficult when midnight starts approaching.

i would imagine its just the same i do them on an iphone and have done them before on an android phone both worked with no problems.

But i haven't used a tablet its all about the bookmarklet that you have to save to your favourites so i can't see any problems as it will be the same browser as the phone hope it worked for you snow :)

Thanks the pair of you for the above :) I'll give them a bash at some point. Maybe even invest in a basic smartphone for the purpose, even though I'd sworn never to go down the mobile route!

It's got to that stage in life where I just can't face seeing all that money sitting on my task list, unexploited. Guess I'm going to have to move with the times. Sigh...

#755889 - 'Finding Objects In Images: Yes Or No?' 52 @ 3 cents.

A toddler could probably do it, but would doubtless get bored waiting for the pages to load... then wander off and get a Ribena or something.

    Easy task, no quiz mode.

Some of the sentences are in foreign language. I don't think you have to translate them,

#756886 - 'Moral Decision Making Study' 28 cents on NeoBux. 5 minutes or so.

Sure I've done something similar in the past, but no excommunication threatened for a repeat.

I've never really bothered with these as my phone is too slow. But reading this sparked an idea. I just tried it on one of the tasks and it turns out you can complete them without a mobile device and just a computer ;)

It involves using a chrome extension to emulate a mobile device interface within the browser. It likely violates any tasks terms so you'd do so at your own risk, but it does work. It thinks you are using a mobile device.

It's also worth nothing that the likes of neobux don't like you using their site on a mobile device. So you would need two different browsers open.

Not sure if I'll use it as I'm quite busy at the moment, but was just curious to see if it worked.
