I've been expelled from 'Can the following sentences be true' too. the reasons seem to be dafter than the ones I got wrong on the last one!

Maxed out at 84 of the 4c ones, only managed about 2 of the 6c ones before they disappeared.....I think you get used to their weird logic the more you do Al1x, they are definitely strange at times.....

I think the issues are with the supposed 'opposites' - we (well I, cannot possibly speak for others!) naturally think of the diametric opposites - ie black/white, dark/light, stop/go, whereas in this task, I think they're after words that can be used (conceptually) in opposition to each other, when developed into a sentence.

Hence, they want you to rate 'aluminium' and 'steel' as 'opposites', whereas my natural inclination would be towards rating them as similar.

The word 'opposite' is misleading. Maybe 'contrasting' would be better.

    Goodness knows!

Their reasoning for lake being opposite sea was you could use the following sentence - She prefers the lake to the sea (or something along those lines). That was a weird one!

Yes that was a bad one, they changed it from a 1 to a 4/5 or vice versa mid-way through the test. I make a note of the ones I get wrong then I can remember what the "correct" logic should be the next time they come round! :rotfl:

Exactly. They're not after actual opposites, but words that can be utilised in 'opposition' when structuring a sentence.

    I think... :rotfl:

Ah they have let me back in!

I seem to be doing better using their odd logic of opposites .. basically everything is a 4 or 5 apart from a few obvious ones that are wrong.

NeoBux - 182 coins for downloading runtastic app on OfferToro. Didn't need to register and points were credited instantly :)

    And another 147 for Wallapop.

Both apps looks quite good and they're free.
