Off topic, but could you suggest a good site to buy a few smartphones for Perk farming? On Reddit they suggest C7recycle.com, which is based in the US. Any alternatives in UK?
The two phones i bought were from argos the Alcatel onetouch popc1 £19.99 each but you have to buy a top up also at 10 pounds with each phone.
I sold my tops up to friends so it really only cost me 40 pounds and i've already made that when i cashed in my points.
my other three that i use i already had and are alot older one is an
acer and two samsung mobiles.
perk farms aren't for everyone and it takes time and you have to able to access your phones on a regular basis otherwise you wont' really earn much.0 -
Hi all. First of all I'm happy for all sites to be discussed here, but will go with the flow.
Older_Wiser - I bought that phone last week and have been using it for Perk TV. I just asked my son if I would be able to sell the top up on, he didn't know - came on here and you have answered my question, so thanks0 -
I might have to look up this PerkTV....is it just a case of downloading the app or are there referral codes or anything? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

nope just download the app i think the phone has be on android 4.42 or higher no referral codes as far as i'm aware.
with 5 phones earning 1000 points each day every 4 days you can earn ten pounds which is 20000 points or wait another day and its 26000 points for £15 in amazon vouchers but this is running the phones 24/7.
you can download other apps like perk pop quiz where you actually earn more for answering questions. this is where the possibility of £100 per month comes in.
as i said though you have to be able to access the phone very often so you can't just leave it for hours as messages saying are you still watching appear and unless you press yes you don't earn points. If we lived in the USA i think we'd all be doing this as they get double points.
its actually got much stricter with the message coming up every 2hr or so. so they do change the rules so no guarantee that it will remain like this so please only do this if you think its worth it for you.0 -

How do you manage to get so many points per day? Do you run them 24 hours?0 -

Regarding a separate thread or not I don't mind either way either.
Older, thanks for the Perktv info, might look into doing, as got the Alcatel C1 as well from Tesco for SB Android apps0 -
I do yes not so much during the night though lol
I leave one phone on pop quiz which doesn't get the message are you still watching. I think the rules allow two but i'm not 100% about that.
The other 4 i just leave running the cost element is very small i've checked my usuage and its pennies. The phones do keep a good charge though but over time this might get worse. As i've already got my money back from the initial cost of the phones the only cost is in electricity. Others who don't have five spare phones might find the initial cost off putting so thats why i say its not for everyone and i can see where people say its alot of hastle for 60-100 pounds but as i am already online i don't mind the extra attention i have to give them.0
