I've a cake recipe which uses 120ml oil. I want to use butter. How many grams will I need?

When i saw the title of your thread i thought, i remember from when i was in school a gallon of water weighs 10lb, so oil must be heavier.
But when it's oil for baking i'll usually use 2 glugs.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

60 grams is the equivalent of 125mls. Hope it's not too late to be useful!0

We use the same weight of oil as we would of butter.
(They both float on water so the specific gravity must be more ot less the same)I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
