Model comparison of GHD straighteners

Hi,


Wanted opinions on whether certain versions of GHD were better than others.


Currently have the 3.1 or 3.1B perhaps model that was bought about 6 years ago I'd guess. Not 100% sure whether they get less effective or the plates wear down or what not but the indicator light isn't as reliable.


Was thinking of getting a new pair but hear that some of the newer models - the IV range and the V range are not as good.


Can anyone, who has had more than one model of the GHD range comment on whether they think x model is better/worse than y model?


I have my eye on the blue green Lagoon Ltd Edition of the V model, or the Wonderland one but if they are not as high performance I'm not sure it's worth the bother.

I have the special edition Scarlet ones that I use at home, and I think they aren't as hot as they used to be. I've had them for close to two years.

I occasionally use the GHDs at work, and they seems to heat up super quick and are very hot, very quickly. I don't know if they are actually a newer model, but they look quite new! They seem like the classic styler version.

I think that over time they do tend to "wear" so I am thinking about getting new ones...!
