Hi Raver,
The £2 savers club is on the Debt Free Wannabe board so I'll move your thread over to that board so that you can get some more help. Good luck with your saving.

I have a £2 jar, a 20p jar and an "anything under 10p" jar.
I "hide" them ie put them in places where I don't see them all the time. And I plan what I'm going to do with the money ie put it into my holiday spending money account.
Don't laugh but... I've also placed all the jar in different rooms, in the Feng Shui money corner of the room as an extra incentive... may sounds silly but works for me!LBM: August 2006 £12,568.49 - DFD 22nd March 2012

I don't collect - but a friend of mine used to.
To avoid raiding the jar, she'd cut a hole in the lid to put the money through, but glue the lid on. Once the jar was fill, she'd put it in a plastic bag and use a hammer. Seemed a bit extreme, but it did stop her delving into the jar unless she wanted to either break it or spend ages trying to get a few coins back out the slot with a knife. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

terramundis are great for not dipping into your jar they aint cheap so you think twice about breaking them to get to your money0

I've also seen 'tin can' savings tins in a £1 shop that you can only open with a tin opener or by using a knife to get 1 or 2 coins out.Making my money go further with MSE :j

Well done!
Saving £2 coins was the first thing I did when I joined MSE. I can't tell you how fantastic it fell to unglue ( yes I did that too :rotfl: ) the plastic tub and count out an amazing 250ish quid - all of which went on Christmas last year. It was just so great that Christmas didn't go on the c/c's as it usually does!!!! actually seeing the cash in front of me made me go off and find less expensive pressies.
I haven't saved them this year so you have inspired me to find a tub and a tube of glue

I filled a terramundi with £2 coins. (I won't spoil the surprise) but I got a really worthwhile amount from it. I did plan to glue the top back on in true money saving style but I was a bit keen when I broke in
 so had to buy a new one:rotfl: Saving a house deposit. Member no.7 100% of target
