Debt Ridden to Home Owner in 12mths

Hello :j
About me...Hannah, recently turned 30 & currently renting a lovely flat with my boyfriend in the countryside. I'm a long time lurker & as I'm on the final stretch I thought I ought to sign up and actually post!
Original debt - £12,123
Current debt - £5028
I've recently been promoted & I'm guaranteed a series of bonuses throughout next year meaning in February...deep breath...I'LL BE DEBT FREE. It feels insane to even think about. I've been in debt since I was 18. Used a credit card like a cash card & didn't stop until I was 25...and then I started paying it off & here I am today.
So...plan of attack;
I really want my own home & then ideally, a baby. It still feels like a fantasy but I'm going to make it happen in 2015.
Thank you MSE for getting me this far :money:

So...plan of attack;
-
Transfer current CC debt onto 0% card.
-
Update signature.
-
Pay off debt with £600 per month plus bonus (February 2015).
-
Come up with a weekly meal plan and stop buying takeaways.
-
Stop looking on particular websites or blogs...especially one rhyming with Lopshop.
-
When debt is paid off, open ISA & transfer £600 plus bonuses into house fund.
-
Buy a house with a combo of savings & inheritance £7000 (November 2015).
I really want my own home & then ideally, a baby. It still feels like a fantasy but I'm going to make it happen in 2015.

Today will be a spend free day. Horrah! Just waiting for midday so it's a socially acceptable time to eat lunch.
I started a meal plan for the next few weeks last night. It's going to mostly revolve around soup and leftover soup... tres exciting!

Currently in bed...in thermals Ah the joys of ALWAYS be cold & tired! Work has taken over my life (again).
Had my no spend day & bought some food bits today. All very sensible & healthy...apart from the bacon but needs must :cool:
I bought my first Christmas present of the year today, a Whlte C0mpany candle @ 20% off and free delivery! I have no flipping idea what to get my boyfriend. He wants lots of little things but it's nice to have a proper pressie to open on the big day.
Oh and it's PAY DAY!.0
