parking Eye - Crown wharf shopping park Walsall

So last friday i recieved a letter in the post for a parking charge notice from parking eye.

I visited the park on a Sunday to eat out at nandos and i naturally assume parking is free as I did not see the parking warning when i drove past it.

Now they want an 85pound fee or 50pound if i pay within 14 days.

I have read some previous threads on appealing. I am worried that if I appeal and it comes back as negative i will still have to pay the full 85 pounds rather than 50 pounds.

I must say that i dont even have any cash to pay even if i really want to till month end.

Will appreciate advice i can get please. Thanks

  • If you read the "Newbie" threads and digest them, you will soon realise you don't have to pay anything.

I have just been through a very similar situation as yours although I had 4 PCN's (all now cancelled)

If you haven't told PE you are the driver don't, only correspond as the registered keeper of the car.

Again read the Stickies, then come back, ask any questions you may have about your appeal and I'm sure one of the experts will help you from there

    Happy days :)
  • Forgot to ask?

Was it a Parking Charge Notice through the post or a windscreen ticket?

It really doesn't matter you still pay NOTHING but it will help the experts.
  • It was a pcn through the post.

I am yet to contact them so they dont know if I am the driver. I read some stickied post that advise I should have reciept for the shopping.

It qas a meal and I lost the reciept already.

I am currently drafting my appeal
  • It shouldn't matter that you do not have a receipt.

Just draft your appeal ( leave out your personal details and PCN number), post it on this thread and some one will be along to help you out.

Just use the template first appeal from the NEWBIES thread verbatim. Email it if you can, or do it online if they offer that method. If you have to post it, make sure you do this at a post office and get a (free) certificate of posting.
  • my partner recieved one of these on thursday from crown wharf, i offered to pay as i asked him to take me there. we honestly did not see any notices until we had been there for 40 mins at which point he went back to the car and i nipped in tkmaxx. i did buy something in george home but cant find receipt. i have read threads and a flow chart but what i really need is a link to a draft for appeal and i cant find it??! please help because like the orginal poster this money is hard to find especially before xmas and i too was worried about appealing then losing and having to pay extra, thanks for any help given

Can you please start your own thread so as not to confuse this thread.

Do take the same advice given by bod1467 its good advice. READ THE NEWBIE THREADS digest them then draft your appeal post it so some one can check over it for you.

Just remember if you follow the advice given you will PAY NOTHING :)

Gordon Bennett did you REALLY? Are you bonkers? Do you also send money to Nigeria by Western Union when strangers ask you to?! :)

Please just use the Forum Jump to get home to page one and read the Newbies PLEASE read these FAQs FIRST! thread thread and use that template first appeal. This is already covered - there was no need for either of you to post a thread about it.

Everyone here beats PE at POPLA but do not miss the chance as they sue people who ignore them.

Also read Crabman's thread near the top, called the 'Parking tickets Board Sticky' and find the one about 'Successful Complaints about PPCs'. Click on it and read how to complain to the Landowner or Retailers you used - loads get cancelled that way really quickly, especially if you complain publicly on the Facebook page of a national retailer.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
