But the last global crash was all because Labour spent too much. So it won't happen again because they aren't in power.

Although Brown made a hash of the UK economy in his 13 years in power. Unfair to blame him for the state of the global economy.

    No he isn't.

What he actually said was "red warning lights are once again flashing on the dashboard of the global economy".

Which is exactly what you'd expect him to say 6 months before an election.

The Tories consistently poll better than Labour on who voters trust to handle the economic recovery. If voters think that recovery is locked in, then they may well vote for Labour.

This is political spin. Nothing more.

The trickle of emails I get from the Tory Central Office seem to be trying to convey this message in various ways.
Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.

Do you reckon he was just referring to the snazzy graphics used in Newsnight last night? Lots of chat about 'a new mediocre'.

It's because the 'growth' is built on rising house prices and ever expanding Government debt...

He knows it will come crashing down very soon and he won't be able to blame Labour now so he has to blame the World.

Best case would be serious economic turmoil before the election, they would have to spin for all they are worth then and earn their wages for a change :T
