It's good that there might be a job in the offing but unless you give us a few more details it's impossible to give you much help.

You say your name has been 'put forward' so it could just be one of those offers that do the rounds from time to time and that come to nothing. Who put your name forward? Were you recommended by another employee that you could check with?

Even if you deliver the full 25 parcels each day it will only amount to £16.25 a day (and £13 a day if you deliver the minimum 20) and you say yourself that you'll have to be available for a few hours a day so won't have the time to do any other job as well probably.

There's the tax situation to consider. You might well be classed as self-employed by the company (presumably it's not just 'cash in hand') and as such you would be responsible for your own tax arrangements.

How do you get the parcels in the first place? Do you collect from a depot or are they delivered to your home?

What's the score with paying your petrol/diesel money? I know you said it will be in a 3 mile radius but I doubt all deliveries will be in a straight line and you could be criss-crossing that area several times and fuel will soon add up. If you have to deliver when someone is in to get a signature you may have to go back later if there is no close neighbour available.

Don't want to put a dampener on this but having done some courier work in the past I'm well aware of how these kind of things can eat into the money you earn.

    Keep us posted. Good Luck:beer:
