35k of debt

Hi

I'm Matt, 28, and I have just over 35k of debt.

As suicidal as I feel, I am going to take it on myself to pay it off. Things are just about payable as it stands.

I have started a blog, and will be posting on here to keep myself on track. I know that you will all help with your words of encouragement. I will provide a full breakdown soon, and an action plan of how I plan to sort it out.

Thanks
Matt

Hi Matt - welcome to MSE.
It will be interesting to read your breakdown and see how we can all help you do this, remember it won't happen overnight (as it wasn't racked up overnight I'm sure) so just take every day as it comes and as long as you are on the right track and not adding any more debt on to it, things will fall together and you'll feel better every passing day :)

Good luck Matt - I'm sure having found the courage to start you will have the determination to finish, however difficult and testing the journey may be

When you've finished a wee bit down the road the world will be a much better place, and the light at the end of the tunnel will be hope and satisfaction and not a train

Welcome to the boards Matt. Good luck on your journey. Here is the link to the SOA generator. Once you have filled it in, I think you will have a better idea of your situation. Also you can format it for this website, and then copy and paste it into a post on this thread. We may then be able to suggest ways of cutting back.

    Thanks Chevalier -

Matt you will get a lot of help when you post up your SOA (indeed completing it will be a lot of help)

You might not like what you hear, but that's half the p[oint about doing it. Its one of those things you have to do this and be fairly strict on yourself otherwise it will all drag on (and on) ...
