  • send them to the debt collection agencies - who ever is contacting you / you are paying

make sure to sign the letter with a font not your actual signature

keep the recorded delivery slip with a copy of the letter date of delivery is day 0 after 12 WORKING DAYS stop making any payments and put them into savings instead

    Thanks

    You've been a great help.

I'll send the letters off and hold off on settling Barclaycard for now.

If memory serves me write the only one that should have any signed documents from me will be Halifax and Barclays but hopefully I'm wrong.

    We shall see.

    Thanks

  • just because they are signed doesnt mean they are okay there is a big long list of things they have to have in them to be enforcable as i said i cant actually remember seeing one that is all there yet
The only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 5

Correct. Not covered by the CCA.

  • Hi

So that means it is in my best interest to pay that off as a priority.

Obviuosly I need to wait for a few weeks for the CCA responses to come through.

There after how should I prioritise the debts?

As mentioned before I was hoping to move to a larger house but with the defaults I take it I will strugglke to get a good deal? I have no missed or late payments on priority debts.

Is it worth attempting to repair the damage by applying for credit or should I just concentrate on settling up? The reason i ended up in this mess was due to loss of income.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Hi

I have received my agreement from Vanquis. It seems to be a load of print screens as I applied online.

So my question is where do I go from here?
What should I be looking for?

    Thanks again.
  • I think, for a credit card taken out online in 2006, they should have still got a signed agreement. Did for mine.

You should have at least received an agreement regulated under the CCA 1974 in response to your request.

    Hi
They have only sent me an unsigned copy.

    Thanks
  • That's ok in response to a CCA request. Is it correct in all other ways to your knowledge? Name, address etc

Does place some suspicion as to whether they have the original though.

    Hi

It all seems legit. Just no signature. As far as I can remember I called up to activate the card and that was it. Don't remember signing anything.

On a side note has anyone managed to claim the Repayment option plan back?

    Thanks
