Hi Anyone know of an electrician that would have a look at a Extractor Fan my new tenant says it's very loud and doesn't seem to be working. I probably need to get new one, property is 7 years old and always been rented out .So would may suit someone as a wee homer.East Belfast area.

As long as they are a qualified electrician who can provide you with a certificate to confirm they have fitted the fan correctly and enabled you to stick to the letter of the law as a landlord

There are no laws that specifically cover electrical safety in privately rented accommodation. However if Northern Ireland Electricity believes that the electricity at a property is unsafe it can disconnect the electrical supply.

Any electrical equipment provided by your landlord should be safe but there is no requirement for a safety certificate.

When I read the title of this thread I thought it was about a friend of mine who used to have loads of posters around the walls of his bedroom.

They were of Ferguson T20's, Massey Fergusons, Fords, John Deere's etc. etc. now he has taken them all down as he is.........
