Because ....I do appreciate there are many new mothers who decide not to return once maternity leave ends but anyone can resign a job.

The rights are totally with the employee. The employee does not have to return to work. The employee can request flexible working or even part time hours. Given maternity leave can last up to a year now. Much can change in that time frame.0 -
