Loan charges

Can anyone help me? I got a loan in October last year to by new windows, I have just remortgaged and have the money to pay the loan off but as it was at a high interest rate and I have had a number of charges the repayment figure is higher than the original loan. I have made payements everymonth apart from the last. Charges include a number of letters sent. Can I claim any of this back when paying off the loan. ?

Thanks
Kate

Not when paying off the loan - it's a lengthy process. You may be able to reclaim some of the charges later, depends what they were for and how much they were.
    Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.
  • I have also just paid off a loan and had an unexpected settlement fee - not in original agreement - any advice?
