I wouldn't put much store by that.
An estate agent will tell you that a Lego brick is suitable security for a residential mortgage if they have commission on it.
Yeah it was taken with a pinch of salt. However the feedback from the broker on the failed purchase was not the type of mortgage but the purchaser didn't meet the requirements0 -
Very much the sort of case that irrevocably falls over after surveyor's visit/report.
