Anyone still doing shopandscan?

I've been doing shopanscan with a clicker via my computer for at least 7 years now, but I've been told they are changing to scanning receipts via a smartphone app instead (same 1,100 points reward each week). Anyone else been told this?

There is no mention of it on their website, but I've had emails about it, downloaded the app and received a jiffy bag in the post to return my clicker. Oddly the jiffy bag they have sent is far too small to return the user guide (the letter with it specifically says they want the clicker, lead and user guide) - you'd think they'd know how big their own user guides are?!

Anyway was just wondering if others have been switched across to this new system? I noticed there haven't been many recent posts about shopandscan on the forum.

    I imagine you would but if you don't hear from others here who know this is correct I would just ring them to confirm. If you're about to be scammed out of the equipment they would charge you for not sending it back to them.

    Hopefully it isn't that, just be cautious :)

    Thanks for the replies.

    Emailed them about the jiffy bag size and they are sending a larger one to me, so hopefully that serves as confirmation they are aware of what I'm talking about (I suppose it's possible there are panel members with different smaller user guides and they just don't have a record of who has what? Although they didn't specify a reason in their email). The address on the jiffy bag is the same as the address on their website as well, so hopefully that's ok too.

    The app is in the app store for anyone to see and the info for it does say it is by invitation only, but that if you are an existing panel member you can tell them you're interested, so maybe it's just a new method they are trying out on limited numbers first and more people here will get asked soon.

    It'll be a while until I get the new jiffy bag and send the clicker back, so if I have any problems in the meantime I can continue to use my clicker and/or query it with them.

    I made sure to contact the original shopandscan helpdesk email and not the new email/contact info for the shopandscanreceipts. Here's the website: shopandscanreceipts.com

    Apparently the rewards website stays the same and new points are added to old points.

    Hopefully they won't switch every one over, I've been doing it for a few years but haven't got a smartphone so would have to give up or fork out for a phone.

    Think you should be ok by using a camera or home scanner.I had an email from Consumer Pulse saying that they were starting a new research project called ShopandScanReceipts and although I can't partake. nor anyone in my household either. I can refer people who live in my area to join up.

    We would like you to send us images of your till receipts whenever you buy anything. This has been made easy for you with our ShopandScan app. It only takes a few seconds to send us an image of each receipt.

    You can still take part even if you don’t have a smartphone. Simply take a picture of your receipt whenever you make a shopping trip and then e-mail the image to us

    I've been doing the clicker and taking pictures of receipts and uploading them to their website for years. I get 1100 points for the clicker upload and 500 points for the receipt pics.
    Here I go again on my own....

    We still do Shop and Scan. Love it. Always get the vouchers at Christmas time!

    I've not heard anything about this new app though.

    Don't worry, you don't have to use the new app - even if they want to switch you across to the new system, they have an email address for you to send scans or photos to (for all non-smartphone owners).
