Next year, 2015, is the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo. To commemorate this, the London Mint are offering a free solid bronze Waterloo medal, they have 500,000 to give away on first come first served basis. Limit of one per household, all you pay is the postage. To get this offer, go to the 200Waterloo website (as a newbie cannot post link).

On the site you also have the option to buy solid silver or solid gold versions as well (sadly not free).

I've never used them myself but have seen their offers before. Just googled them and this came up, so if you get the free one, you might need to keep an eye out in case they send you other coins which they then expect you to pay for. This is a very old thread though and the last posts are almost a year ago, so not sure whether they're still the same!

I got a phone call and the guy was actually very nice, I told him that would be the only coin I was getting and he asked if I wanted my ph number removed from the sytem, I said yes and have not heard from them since.
