Bulk Buying on eBay ro reduce Grocery bill?

I've been trying to reduce our grocery bill and one way I thought of recently was seeing if you could buy some things in bulk on the internet.
Lo and behold eBay is full of options for bulk buying for the likes of dishwasher tablets and washing powder and cleaning products in general.
Germany seem to have sellers who sell dishwasher tablets at as little as 4p each in bulk and say they are branded quality (the catch is normally damaged packaging and so on).

Does anyone have any experience of this, or can vouch for the quality of these products on eBay? Halving the cost of essentials like washing powder and dishwasher tablets whilst also reducing waste is quite tempting, but a risk without being sure of quality. I should say that these seller do have near 100% feedback, but quality or "good enough" is subjective really, especially since we are currently using Finish.

About once a year I buy 1Kg and 1Kg of paprika (both of which i use lots of) from amazon for about £10 delivered - this compares to about £50 per kilo to buy from the supermarket in the little jars.
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

  • I use Sainsbury Value dishwasher tablets and can't tell the difference between those and Finish. They work out at 6p each ( 30 tabs for £1.80) so not a huge amount to outlay to try them. Some people have metioned breaking them in half but I haven't tried this as we have very hard water.

Might be worth trying the ones you mention if postage etc isn't excessive it depends how many you need to buy at once.

I 'll be interested to read what others order in bulk and if it's worth it.
