Oral B compatible toothbrush heads - any recommendations?

I recently bought some Oral B compatible toothbrush heads from eBay and, lo and behold, they don't work - heads won't fit my Vitality toothbrush and prevent it from working etc. Thing is, they were to replace the compatible heads that I'd bought from eBay last year which have worked perfectly fine for me.
I don't want to buy the official heads - however good they are - because I just can't afford them.
Can anybody recommend an eBay or Amazon trader who does stock reliable compatible toothbrush heads?

Is there really nowhere else you could save a couple of quid in order to get the right heads?
Long term use of cheap toothbrushes be it 3for£1 manual ones or fake heads for electric brushes will slowly damage gums irreversibly.
Real heads will fit, work, last a bit longer, and there won't be the problem of throwing them all away when you find they aren't compatible. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
Boots usually have a 1/3 off a lot of their Oral B heads around this time of year because of the deals on electric toothbrushes also. I change the heads every 3 months so a pack of 4 lasts me a year.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

At least the E-Bay cheepos ar marked as "Compatible", they used to sell perfect "Genuine"Oral B packaging, but were still useless fakes.
Cheapest ive found lately is Superdrug, about £8 for 4, so not cheap but genuine.0 -
Groupon had a deal the other day to buy oral B ones in bulk - might be worth a look to see if it's still on?
I've bought mine from eBay in the past but can't remember the sellers name/ID (they were genuine Oral. I'll try and dig it out for you...

Yup - I usually stock-up on a years worth or-so after Christmas/New Year when Boots knock them down to half price.0 -
The easiest way to tell if heads are genuine is to look at the logo on the head. Genuine heads have oral b laser etched onto heads, the rip offs just have the logo printed on which will wipe off with nail varnish remover etc.
Electric toothbrush heads are one of the mosy popular items to counterfeit https://thecounterfeitreport.com/product_details.php?product_id=2080 -
Hi
I got mine from Argos, a five pack I think it was. They had an offer on. Worth checking out.
Hope you returned yours or complained about them.0 -
I have bought cheap ones on ebay before, but they were rubbish , some only worked for a few days before breaking, even the ones which worked seemed to wear out pretty quickly.
I went back to buying genuine ones from Tesco/boots or wherever they were on offer. The difference is very noticeable, and they last so much longer.
Cheap doesn't always mean good value.0 -

Fortunately the seller has offered a refund without any problem, so I haven't lost anything there. When purchasing them, I thought they were the same as the compatibles that I bought last year which have worked fine for me.
I realise that official Oral-B heads aren't a problem for some people to afford, but unfortunately I don't have the luxury of being one of those people at the moment (and FTR, the toothbrush itself was a gift, otherwise I'd be using a normal brush).
I'll have a look to see which might have some offers on.0
