yep - it 87p on the instore posters and shelf edge labels, rather than the 99p in the leaflets - and scanned at 87p.
The guy in front of me must have had about 40 bars of chocolate
I see that they define a "portion" of the cake as 1/6th. I wonder if anyone has ever restricted themselves to this amount at a single go

Yes - with a cup of coffee, one-sixth is actually a decent portion (and I'm calorie counting). (And then there are five more opportunities to enjoy it.)0 -
Definitely, you're up North and I'm in London and it worked for me.The chocolate cake went through the tills at only 87p (each) for some strange reason. Possibly nationwide.
I have to say I disagree with this. I picked up two for a birthday treat - one wouldn't have been enough for 5 people, and I'm no fan of chocolate cake - give me lemon, coffee and walnut or carrot any day. I hesitated for all of 2 seconds before I helped myself to a third, realising that the chocolate cake monster in our family could cut it into quarters (that is a much better sized portionanamenottaken wrote: »Yes - with a cup of coffee, one-sixth is actually a decent portion (and I'm calorie counting). ) and freeze it if he wishes. The BBE date is 6th Dec 14 so he may keep hang onto it until next weekend instead. Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I bought 20 bars...was tempted to get more but held back. I don't eat it as is, but I bake quite a lot and it melts down nicely to make ganache cake topping (50% chocolate, 50% double cream)....really tasty, quick, easy and cheap if you've bought the chocolate at 17p a bar!Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0
