Hi, am usually a lurker and have looked for an answer but can't find anything!
I am looking for some expert advice on how to clean the sticky greasy patches on my brushed chrome/steel cooker hood, I have always cleaned it with just olive oil, but it is no longer getting it clean and have tried all sorts without success and now it looks unsightly. Thank you very much!

I give mine a good wipe over with white vinegar. The smell soon goes away, along with the streaks!0

My DD uses WD40 on hers, wipe it on with a kitchen towel wipe it off with some - then buffs it up with micro cloth.0

you can get specific stainless steel cleaners from most supermarkets which will degrease the hood. I use cream cleaner on the brushed parts of my cooker but I'd try in an inconspicuous part first.
I also then give my stainless steel a wipe with WD40 (which is non toxic) to keep it shiny and stop muck sticking to it.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
