Hi All,
having had my Wonga loan cleared, i am now thinking of speaking with them to claim back all interest and fees from old loans, i have already spoken with Wonga and they have given me a copy of all my old loans.
do people think that could happen after all they should not of issued these loans in the first place ?
I have done wrong before and now i am paying of this so i do not need people say you took the money etc etc this is only me asking if people think this is possible
at this point i only have my fingers crossed and nothing more

Good luck with that.
Wonga will probably counter with "you accepted the terms and conditions at the time". But you could always try and see how it goes.
Best wishes.0 -
I certainly hope not....
Take responsibility for what you have done, thank Wonga for what they have given you back and move on with your life.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Is it the case that Wonga shouldn't have issued the loans or is it the case that you shouldn't have applied for them, took the money and spent it?
Anyway, back to your original question....
Nothing ventured, nothing gained. It's only going to cost you the price of a stamp to find out.0 -

I bought a dress in John Lewis yesterday, and whilst paying was laughing with the assistant that I couldn't really afford it. She still sold it to me, and let me pay on my JL card. Can I claim my money back please? I'll be keeping the dress mind you ...

we all know Internet trolls are awful people who need removing from the gene pool but the ones who choose to do their taunting on a site that is designed to help people are simply the worst.
I wish I had the time in the day to just click, bully and abuse people but I have a life and I'm not some low life scum. I've not used this forum for over a year and after clicking through today I've found every post full of sarcastic little cretins with no intention of helping anyone. I only hope karma removes your ability to do this with whatever means it deems necessary.
With regards to the wonga question id just have a go, you've got nothing to lose, worst case scenario is you're in the same situation as you are now and above all else you at least learnt your lesson by dealing with them. I know I did.0 -

Welcome to the internet. I wouldn't take it to heart :money:0 -
I was thinking the same thing!
Why should people who took out a loan, then got into difficulty. Who scrimped & saved trying to do the right thing and pay back the loan, and went into a bit more debt to other lenders by tying to repay the Wonga loan off first, be in effect penalised for doing the right thing and getting rid of the most expensive debt first.
My loan was wiped out only after I paid of more than 95% of it! I only got my last 2 payments back (total of £34). That hardly covers the extra interst and bank fee's on my other debts.
Then you got those that took out hundreds of £ in loans and did nothing to repay it getting their debts wiped away with no repercussion and a repaired credit file!Laters
