If the practises of debt collection agencies were more "legal", complaints were handled better by them and, as a result, the burden of cases at the Ombudsman was lessened, you can see the sense.0

Also, debt collection is a legitimate business and it makes sense to me for the FOS to have a representative present, not just to ensure they manage their complaints better but also to ensure that they operate within the confines of approved FOS processes...

FOS isn't giving advice on how to play the system. They are invited to speak generally on regulation and complaints as debt collectors have to be seen to play nice with the FOS and pay lip service to what they say. Once over they will ignore anything the FOS said that wasnt in their interests and carry on as before.Still rolling rolling rolling......

without debt collection companys, most companys would go out of business due to the none payment of a lot of peopleDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

And people will maintain to hold the same opinions. Despite the fact that the world does move on. Vultures are unlikely to bother attending conferences. Given they cost money.0
