Does your paperwork say you are tied in for long or at all? Read the small print bits.

I am pretty sure I have read on this site about people doing it so hopefully someone will come along with experience.

I was going to change from Thornton Shepherd, who were charging me £30 per month for my DMP, to Payplan which is free. The people at Payplan said they could arrange it no problem. I ended up just taking over the DMP myself, but it is possible to swap. Your best bet is to ring CCCS.

    Hi,

I use to be with Gregory Pennington and they charged me over £30 pounds a month with the help of my other half i phoned up Grepory Pennington told them i wanted to cancel my plan they asked why told them that i was going to clear the debt myself. They were fine although i did get letters from them asking me if i was ever in trouble with my debt then they would re-open my plan.

From my experience they are best avoided!!

That was over a year ago and now i am debt free.:D
