Time estimate please - changing names on title deeds

Hi - I'm not really sure where this post should go...
I want to know how long it might take (assuming no delays anywhere) to change the names on a property's title deeds. If I was going from sole name to adding someone on and making it joint names.
How long might this process take do you think?

The first thing you have to do is put a request in to the mortgage lender for a change of borrowers. This will be vetted in a similar way to a new application, so credit worthiness and affordability is confirmed.
Once that is done, the matter will then be passed to a solicitor acceptable to the lender for the ownership and mortgage deed to be done and the land registry updated.

Assuming that there is a mortgage on the property?
If so, as Kingstreet has said.
If not, go straight to solicitor.0 -
