Alternatives to Pandora?

Hello all - looking for some advice

DD has said that she wants a Pandora charm bracelet for Xmas. I can see the appeal, and she's at the age now when a nice bit of jewelry would be an investment, and a charm bracelet will mean that people can add to it on birthdays and at Christmas over the coming years.

BUT rather than go straight for Pandora, are there any other makes or brands out there that are as quirky and as widely available? Of course I could go for a bog-standard chain link bracelet from a jewwler but is there anything else like Pandora out there?

TIA :)

  • Thomas Sabo charms are nice, the bracelets themselves retail at less than Pandora (but the charms are fairly similar in price). Of course with Sabo you can't wear many charms at once, it's a "swap in, swap out" idea.

Alternatively, there's the X by Trollbeads club, where you make the bracelet yourself with individual charm components - quite quirky but if you want to buy her a bracelet outright to start it could be an expensive outlay.

Links of London have nicer, more adult charms and you can buy the bracelets standalone - may be better for her as she grows up than Pandora where the charms seem a little "cutesy" (IMO anyway)

    Hope that helps :)
