how to package cheap

hello!
I want to return clothes, like jackets, that don't fit to the web shop I bought them from
the problem is that I need to package them, as they often come with just a plastic bag-like package that has to be ripped in order to take the cloth out
package material at post offices is often too small to fit it and is very expensive, almost as the price to send the actual item
do you have any idea?
thanks!

Equip yourself with a roll of cheap black bags from one of the cheap shops, and some of that wide beige coloured sticky tape.
When packages arrive cut them open carefully, and save any tissue, and the outer bag. If you need to return the item, fold it the way it was when it arrived, and put it in the original packaging. Then put it in a black bag, carefully folding the surplus round. You could wrap twice in black bags if you thought it necessary. Make a nice tight parcel, tape it up, and you're done.0 -
Mailing bags are pretty cheap on ebay if you buy 10 or 20A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

If the item was robust enough to be posted to you in a plastic bag, it should be able to travel back again the same way.
You could take a strong carrier bag, perhaps turning it inside out to hide any logos which might cause confusion, and tape it up with parcel tape which is widely available in the cheap stores at 2 rolls for £1.Or ordinary sellotape, if that's all you have.
Write the address on paper and cover it with clear sellotape to protect it from getting wet and having the ink run, and have a smaller label on the back, with your own address for emergencies if it's undeliverable.
I used to be a postie and all sorts of stuff makes it through the post, but simpler and idiot proof is the best option, IMO.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Use some scissors then! Cut carefully along one edge so that the packaging can be reused to send back, you only need to tape up the cut edge. Only dispose of the tags/packaging if you're certain you're going to keep the item.Over futile odds

Totally agree.
It's rare that clothes are so tightly packed that there isn't enough room to overlap it a little more. Then, like someone else said, you just need a roll of strong parcel tape.
I think you just need to get over your excitement at ripping open the bags when they arrive!!:rotfl:0 -
Try buying from either online shops that give exact sizes or shops you know so you know which size fits. Even on ebay.., I look for clothes from shops where I know which sizes fit me. Its a bit of a pain waiting for refunds!
Then no need to return.
But to be honest, I'd have thought that if you have the ability to make a post.., you'd have the ability to figure out that you can return in the same kind of packaging (plastic you mention) that they arrived in.., and think 'black plastic rubbish bags'!0
