hi my names jacs :hello:
i have a small problem with dca's
basically back in oct 06 i owed bt £328 it was passed to 'credit solutions' who set up an arrangement for me to pay £30 a month over the counter they gave me a acc number sort code and a reference number to quote each time i paid i carried on paying not hearing a peep from anyone until after the 30/04/07 when i managed to pay the final balance of £118.
1st was the phonecall from commercial credit services i told them i had paid gave them the account numbers etc that i had paid the money to seemed happy with that
now i have had letters from ccs and scotcall.
i have all my counter receipts which i'm not going to part with basically i think what i'm asking for is help with some sort of standard letter saying ive paid heres the proof (photocopies of receipts???) naff off and leave me alone

thankyou

Sorry Jacs,
Nothing standard that I am aware of. Have you received confirmation from Credit Solutions that your account is in a settled status? It might be worth writing also to them to confirm in writing that the account is settled. I would also get a copy of your credit file to ensure it has been updated accordingly.
My suggestion would be to send the following to both companies, sent recorded delivery (enclosing copies of letters from both companies and copies of all receipts):
Dear Sir/Madam
Ref: account ref XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
I am writing with reference to your letters, received following phone calls made to me on xxx with regard to the above debt.
As I explained over the phone to you, I can confirm that I have made all required payments for this account through Credit Solutions and enclose proof of these payments.
If you continue chasing these payments whilst this account has actually been settled through another debt collection agency, I will have no hesitation in reporting your prospective organisations to the Office of Fair Trading.
Yours faithfully
Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

is there a thread for j2 solutions
j2 Solutions are a subsidary of MacKenzie Hall - and are a really nasty species of pondlife.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
