I buy the Cornish butter from Aldi. its made at Trewithin farm dairy - and I stayed in a holiday park about a mile away from there. passed the place a few times a day and it is a REAL farm. the butter is lovely - tastes just like I remember butter from my childhood many moons ago.
  • I have to say that your local milkman would have butter from local dairies and even if you don't want any milk they would still deliver just butter, and it is good.
  • I've never seen a local milkman delivering around here...we're in a small village a little out in the sticks but not too far from a few supermarkets...I'd try it if we had one round here!
  • I had lovely butter in a restaurant recently - it was French-can't remember the name. Not much help but I'm going to try some different French ones!

Another Morning Fresh Lidler here, but it's salted butter for me & a steal at just 98p.
  • The butter tastes different because most cows don't graze anymore, are feed pellets made from all sort of rubbish like orange peelings...
  • Trewithen butter from Aldi, tastes amazing. Regular butter tastes like cheap margarine in comparison. Well that's my opinion anyway :)

  • I don't eat much butter but recently bought some West Country butter I think from Aldi. I was totally put off by what appeared to be water spitting out as I tried to get it thinly on to the knife. It didn't taste great either. It's of particular disappointment when I eat so little - when I do have it I want it to taste Great!

  • Well, we've tried the Kerrygold and it was nice but still lacking that buttery hit! The quest continues....
