Just wondering, if I won a dvd from these sites...
would the dvd be for the australian region (region 4) or would they send one suitable for out region (region 2)?

In presume that it would be Region specific to Australia in the same sense that if the prize was an electrical item it would be fitted with an Australian plug & not a UK one.

Just my take on it of course.

I'm fairly sure it would be real Australian DVDs since the comps are aimed at Australians (just they're kind and let us enter!) so it would be region 4 or region free depending on the DVD (I have in the past bought Australian DVDs and some, although labelled as region 4, have actually been region free.)

I think it is all just guesswork really & without contacting the site owner we cannot really be sure as to the nature of the prize.

forum for peeps after bossladysal pm'd me to ask if I
would post them due to personnel reasons she wasn't able
to post them any more,

After a bit of quibbling and discussion as to whether we can enter the comps on the above sites I fired off an email. The reply:

Please note the DVD region format may be different to the standard UK edition.

I don't believe you'd have to pay import tax, however I am unsure of how that works in your country.
