My child benefit and maintenance alone covers all my household outgoings (on income don't pay rent or council tax) though i do have a theory budget set up for when I am working again, so debt free i would have wtc, ctc and wage -£90 a week to use towards savings and any bits of furniture I still require. Savings for moving to a different area, I dont know there is lots of things. Kids returning to there sporting activities for one.

We currently pay over £1400 a month off our non-mortgage debts so that will be a huge amount not to have to find!

A few weeks ago though, I did work out that if we kept paying this amount to our mortgage once we are debt free, we would be mortgage free too in 12 years from now!!!

If only I could realistically expect us to be this frugal for the next 12 years! I think we will have a good balance though, and the figures do go to show just what can be achieved if you put your mind to it!

If we DID become mortgage free in 12 years, we would have £2200 a month that we wouldn't need to find any more!!!!! OMG!!!!!!

i've been keeping a spreadsheet and budget book, for years but never belived that the debt would ever be paid off. 4 year ago i took out a loan to combine all debt and........................ finally the loan is paid off in 27th August along with me over draft!!!

We will be about £650 a month better off. May pay £50 a month extraonto our mortgage. Put £200-£300 a month into an account for big purchases,so there will be no need to ever get a loan or use a CC again & the rest away for holidays,Xmas, birthdays & treats. Can't wait!
