Nationwide mortgage computer glitch

I would like to draw the attention of customers of Nationwide who currently have a mortgage with them and who are currently re-mortgaging with them to check the fees and charges added to the mortgage account. Mine was over-charged by £3,897 and it wasn't a human error. It is a glitch in their software so I believe it would apply to others. If you are in this situation, check your mortgage account and raise a query on any fees you do not understand. Nationwide has only just resolved this issue on our account (after raising it with them 10 days ago). They have admitted that other people have complained about the same problem so it is not an isolated incident. Despite my repeated requests, I have no guarantee that they are capturing all the people who that is happening to. They seem to wait until someone calls them to complain to do something. Also, Nationwide will add the fees commanded by the product you book before completion of the new deal (ie they'll add it at the time of reservation). That is wrong too and should not happen according to the Nationwide senior manager within the operations team who I just spoke to. The word is: check your accounts.
