A few years ago I tried to get ahead of myself because I wanted to bring my DFD forward. This was fine, but then when I hit a sticky patch, I was so desolate that my DFD had to INCREASE by a couple of months

Had I stuck with my original DFD, I would still be over the moon that I am on track!

So basically, I would say, stick with your original dates, that way beating them will feel fab, and you don't have to beat yourself up if you have a bit of a spend!

You will beat your snowball date, I am fairly sure of that from reading your posts, but don't live your life for debt reduction and only debt reduction, otherwise you will feel guilty/despondent/a failure when you do spend on the things that keep you sane!

    Good luck, and keep posting.

    Hi TF,

Having read all the posts the saying 'each to his own' springs to mind. I know that I could probably do 'dark cells' until we reach our DFD but OH needs a bit of leeway. As long as your 'treats' don't mean your using any form of credit to pay for, if that's what keeps you on the straight and narrow it's fine.
    Enjoy!!
