    Great news on the respite break grant :) However I thought the idea of respite was to give the carer a break.

    We’ve thought of lots of different ideas Hairy, from 3 days abroad (only the colder places are in budget :()!), to a city break weekend in this country, to a midweek lodge break somewhere more rural. The problem we face is that we have to use the funds within 3 months or forfeit them, and lots of things the boys would like to do such as theme parks and the like, are closed for Winter. I think we have 99% decided to extend our already planned Edinburgh break, and go for an extra few days with more funds to do all the attractions that are usually out of our budget.

    Edinburgh would be lovely, I had to cancel my trip with DD due to my illness. What about centre Parcs, lots for the boys to do!

    Me too Beanie! We’ve been a fair few times and always love it, but we always run out of time to do everything on the list too. Will be nice to do more than just the zoo and city centre!!

    Aw Penny, I’m sorry to hear you had to cancel. Any chance we can work on postpone rather than cancel?
    Centre Parcs had no availability for when/where we were looking to go.

    I really recommend it Mummy! Gorgeous place, especially at Christmas when all the markets are on and it’s super festive :D.

    MiL has been offered £50 compensation for a complaint I made on her behalf :T. Why am I never so successful when it’s my own complaint?!

    Mortgage went out this morning for more than usual. That didn’t take long after the interest hike did it :mad:?
