Situational questions on job application - please help!

I'm filling in an application for a job I really would like to get an interview for, and there are several situational questions on the application. There are just 2 I'm struggling with:

• Describe a time when you showed that you are genuine and honest.
  
• Describe a time when you showed respect regardless of diversity or consideration of others needs.

It can be a personal or professional situation. I work in an office/finance based environment.

Can anyone please help? I know you're not supposed to make things up but I'm wracking my brains on this one and can't come up with anything. Such odd questions!

You can't remember a time that you've been honest or respectful?

I'm always honest and respectful.

I just can't think of a specific example that would be relevant to a job application.

as you say you are in finance, do you ever have cash handling duties, or banking responsibilities where you can say you have been trusted with sums of money - this could fit in with the honesty question


or have you been asked your opinion on something in the office and you have given an honest answer regardless of what the person might want to hear?


The second question - is your office culturally diverse, or do you have to deal with customers, clients or supplier by phone who don't have English as a first language, maybe you could describe a situation where there has been a misunderstanding due to a language barrier and how you have solved this by working through the issue with patience?


I hate these types of questions!!

Taken an elderly neighbour to go shopping, helped a blind person with something...

i was honest when i told my OH the baby wasnt his

im also in finance and i have used cash handling ones also ones where i have contributed positively to the policies and procedures by being honest with management about an issue

for the respect one - helping to train a new member of staff with dyscalculia or english as a second language

Wow, it's obviously a long time since I had to have an interview. If someone asked me a question like that I would inform that I'm always honest/respectful and that I felt insulted to be asked, and then leave, never to darken their doors again.

Luckily for me I'm self-employed...
