Bizarre comet sales method

Looking for a new stereo for my son, found one we like at Comet. £129.99 panasonic jobby all sorts of bells and whistles. (may have been able to get it cheaper on line at £117 but didn't trust the site and then needed p&p which ramped it up somewhat) Looked on line at Comet same price as in shop, but it mentioned that i should put in a codeword on the basket page, and would get 15% off.
Did that and lo behold, stero now £110.
Now the weird thing, I then reserved it for shop pick up (not far away and can do on way home from work) and fetched it at the new lower price, even had to pay for it at the shop, to all intents and purposes exactly the same as if I had gone and brought it directly without reserving it first!
Anyhow top tip, before you go to comet to buy anything, reserve it online and you may get a fairly decent discount!

Or just ask them for the web price in store. It worked for me on a TV on Monday. Make sure you have checked the web price first0
