Hi all, What about the Pom Pom scarves, are they ok? I ordered a few for Christmas gifts but they haven't arrived yet.0
-
I didn't order any but if I had I would have expected reasonable quality I.e. better than the cheap market ones.
And - if the advert said 'cashmere' I would have expected them to be cashmere.
I know someone who bought them and are delighted.
There is an instruction leaflet with washing and drying instructions and it refers several times to them being Cashmere Pashmina and Cashmere scarfs and it explains about cashmere wool etc.
Personally I haven't a clue!0 -
Both mines had holes in them too !!0

I received mine today but have only opened the chocolate one. It is beautifully soft. Can I just advise, I was fortunate enough to receive a beautiful pashmina from a luxury brand as a gift and it too is very thin, they are not supposed to be thick.0

Mine came today and I am pleased - they are definitely not man made fibre because | did the burn test on a stray strand of the black one. It burns like wool does.
Neither has holes in it, thank goodness.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
That probably goes to show how expectations differ.I know someone who bought them and are delighted. There is an instruction leaflet with washing and drying instructions and it refers several times to them being Cashmere Pashmina and Cashmere scarfs and it explains about cashmere wool etc.
My comments about "if the advert said 'cashmere' I would have expected them to be cashmere. " were directly in relationship to these 2 earlier posts:My 'cashmere' wraps arrived today. The only visible label without unpacking them says '100 per cent Pashmina' which is meaningless. They may well be cashmere, but I have doubts.THRIFTYSHOPPER wrote: »Yes mine arrived today - I ordered two sets and only one brown and one black arrived. They're really thin and don't look to be anything like cashmere - look very cheap. Disappointing. If the product is described as cashmere, regardless of the price you pay, you should expect it to be as described. I'll be sending mine back too.
Pashmina - which seems to have become a generic description for all types of scarves/shawls - is wool from a specific type of goat.
The wool is so fine (not thick) that it is supposed to be able to pass through a wedding ring.0 -
Found this to be very interesting........
