    Its usually in the (very) small print!

    OK thanks. I'll have a look. I did start paying in late so I shouldn't be too surprised if it is based on paying in the same amount.

    Thanks - not too bad taking that into account, especially if I don't have to pay rent - not certain at this point as I am in shared ownership and it is hard for me to buy 100% of a property where I am.

    Isn't it wrong for them to say pensioners will have no less than £148 if there's going to be a reduction for people who were opted out of paying sp2 etc?

    Where are they saying that you will have no less than £148?

    Contracting out (not opting out as that means something different) is not lost money. Its just coming from a different source and the amount may be different or can be taken in a different way.
