If it is getting too much at the FB there is no shame in dropping some of your responsibilities and letting others take on more. Sometimes those who are willing ‘to do’ get overwhelmed as others expect more and more from them......only do what makes you fulfilled so that it doesn’t begin to bring you down....iykwim....says Auntie Milann being bossy :p

:rotfl:since I’ve heard your ‘actual voice’ I’m reading your posts in a Scottish accent rather than a Northern one :rotfl::rotfl:

    Morning Beanie :)

Milann, I'm laughing at you reading our Beanie in a Scottish accent :rotfl:

I agree with what everybody else has said about the FB. You know what they say "if you want a job doing, give it to a busy person". I'm sure the last thing you want to do is start feeling resentful about taking on more and more. In a way realising it's getting too much halfway through the year is good. If you do decide to relinquish part of your role, but feel able to carry on for a while longer, then telling them now gives them fair warning and enough time to sort something out.

At the end of the day you're a volunteer and I really believe that role cuts both ways. As well as giving you should be getting something out of it, not feeling weighed down by it all. :(

I'd give some serious thought as to which parts you want to drop and which ones you want to keep doing then let them know.

    Have a lovely day. xx

:rotfl:Beanie I should have said I’m reading in a bad Scottish accent - I’m no mimic or actor :rotfl::rotfl:

  • I agree with cutting down on some of your responsibilites if it's starting to get too much for you Beanie. No point in getting to the stage where it's stressing out out. You've given valuable service over the years so maybe it's time for someone else to take on the role of treasurer.

Yup, just joining the chorus - when I resigned by arrangement just after an important shake up in my counselling organisation, the people who knew the work I'd done were really, really good about it. And when I carried on as an ordinary member, they were even better, they kept telling me all the inside goss :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
