Hi Beanie. Another one who's got their fingers crossed that your boiler gets sorted out. I don't know why things are never simple these days. :o Have a nice day. xx

It is matched betting, yes. Beingjamie, go here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=41
BUT I really want to advise against it, since you're a newcomer. It's not risk free, and if you rush, or do it wrong without using the spreadsheets and equations, you can definitely lose money. Quite a bit of money.

But there's hope! There's an awful lot of ways to save money on your utilities and other expenses, and an awful lot of other ways to make money. For the latter, look at this: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=145

Ooh that's nice Beanie. Nothing beats a catch up with Mums and if coffee or lunch is thrown in then that's even better. :)

I'm in total awe of the matched betting people. Haven't a clue how it works myself and don't think I'd ever crack it so probably best for me to stick with surveys I think  xx

Thanks so much for this - for explaining and for your concern.

I'm (realtively) new to the forums, in that I've only recently started logging in.

I have my own MFW thread (HERE).

I've been following MSE for years and have successfully remortgaged, stoozed, jemmied my regular savers, etc. So I'm not completely new, but I absolutely get the sense of danger.

I'll read this carefully and won't rush into everything.

Thanks so much for taking the time to set this all out so nicely - I really appreciate that, and I'm sure it'll come in really handy.

    Thank youuuuuu :T :T :T

Just catching up Beanie. Would you be better off on a British Gas contract for the boiler, we really got our money's worth out of ours when we had the old boiler. Thinking about resurrecting it when the guarantee for the new one runs out.

My old phone was doing the same as yours, glad you've got a new one sorted.

Good news on DS and GF being nearer and in a nice new place.

Glad you enjoyed lunch with your mum :)
