While it was nice to be away it is also so nice to be home in my own surroundings & with my three fur babies.
More sad news tonight in that a relative on DS's side is very very unwell.
They were very very good to me when my ex DH & I split up.

In other news I have spent a LOT of money on a pair of slippers which I really hope will suit my feet & will stay on the said feet & will not contribute to my falling.

I think it’s hard when we hear of folk being ill, especially at this time of year. It can be a sad time of year.
Hopefully your mum wasn’t hurt after her fall.
I know just what you mean about it being nice to be away but nice to get home again.
